Article Marketing is one of the best ways to establish your expertise and acquire trusted links back to your site. Write an article, preferably on a hot topic based on keyword research you’ve done and use and article distribution service to offer it to content publishers looking for just such content and voila, you have many brand new high quality links back to your site.
Article distribution services allow you to complete an author resource box where you leave contact information including a link back to relevant information on your site. Here’s a great article about how to build a good author resource box.
To fnd the right service for you, just type in “article distribution” in a search engine and check out the results. iSnare is free and effective, but there are several more. I found a few reviews of which article distribution services are best and iSnare definitely comes out ahead with regard to cost/performance.
Electronic press releases are also very effective when there’s a newsworthy event in your industry, business, etc. Your press release is distributed via RSS and other means, to news agencies seeking relevant news and content. When I last used this service, my press release was read throusands of times within 28 days, and there were hundreds of thousands of RSS feed impressions of my headline.
Again, there are several services available. I’ve had great results with PRWeb. PRNewswire is outstanding as well, however it’s way too expensive for a micro business like mine.
